CCSD Students Advance to State Social Studies Fair

Eight Cherokee County School District students are headed to the State Social Studies Fair!  

Congratulations to our students who earned first place at the regional competition and now advance to the state contest next month! Congratulations to their teacher sponsors and thank you to our School Board for its laser focus on ensuring our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else!

Through the annual CCSD Social Studies Fair program, students in grades 5-12 can explore an area of social studies and complete a research project individually or as part of a team.  Categories for projects include anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, and sociology/psychology.
